THE CONCERT
A professional stage for the next generation.
KAL|Dance is Ballet Kalamazoo®'s annual mixed-bill concert- a stage where emerging dancers and choreographers share their craft in a professional setting.
Classical and contemporary works from Ballet Kalamazoo appear alongside invited regional studios, collegiate dancers, guest choreographers, and outstanding student artists.
Each season explores a new theme that reflects the journey of young artists as they discover not only how to dance, but why they dance.

2027 THEME
Constellations
After celebrating individual artistry in Fragments of Light, this season looks upward and outward.
Every dancer carries a spark of expression. When those sparks connect, patterns begin to appear, relationships form, ideas echo, and meaning grows larger than any one performer.
Constellations explores how artists shape one another, and how a community of dancers becomes greater than any single artist alone.
Join us as we map the sky of the next generation, one dancer, one piece, one constellation at a time.
