Dads! Mother's Day is coming up this Sunday! I can help with two easy handmade gifts that you can make with the kids. These DIY gifts are sure to make anyone feel special!
I am excited to include Aimee Garrison as a guest blogger again this month. Aimee is the mother of two beautiful budding ballerinas and is amazing at great, easy crafts that are simple and fun to do with the kids!
I asked her two share with us two ideas that dads can do with the kids to make the moms in their lives feel special and loved.
Here you go!
EGG CARTON FLOWER BOUQUET
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- colorful straws or pipe cleaners
Cut the paper egg carton so you have a group of 4. Trim the edges so it looks more rounded. Have your artist paint the insides to transform the egg carton into a beautiful flower.
Once it has dried, tape a straw or pipe cleaner to the back to create a stem!
It is that easy! See that cute frame in the photo? Here are the directions!
WASHI TAPE FRAMES
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
hot glue gun & glue sticks
Start by covering the craft sticks with washi tape. An easy way to do this is unroll and tear off a length of washi tape that is a bit longer than the craft stick.
Place the Washi Tape on the table sticky side up, put a craft stick on top then fold the washi tape edges onto the other side of the craft stick. If your tape isn't wide enough, you'll put two strips on and line them up.
To make the opened faced frame, take one of the craft sticks and add a dab of glue at the end.
Then attach two of the sticks together, continue until you create a frame.
Use a piece of tape to hang the frame with by folding it in half and taping it to the frame.
Let us know how it goes or if you have any questions!
